Artist's Description

The new year in India is celebrated on "Diwali' which is also a festival of lights. The day is filled with good cheer, hope, joy, new clothes, an exchanges of sweets and gifts, and lots of fireworks. The homes are cleaned and decorated, and lit with lights, and lamps. In this painting I share the feeling of excitement and joy with the symbols of the day.
